Making an appointment

  • Contact our office
Please call or contact the office as above, under Contact us, for all appointments and advice; this applies whichever clinic you wish to attend. We will endeavour to answer your questions, and if you decide to make a first appointment we will send you full instructions and a detailed health questionnaire [soon available on-line]. Take some time to fill this in, as it will save considerable time in the consultation - but don’t lose sleep about the details, as it is patterns of symptoms etc. that we are looking for. If you wish to prepare your own print-out of your history and problems we welcome this, but it will only replace pages 1 & 2 of the questionnaire, so please complete the rest, from page 3 onwards.
  • Speak to your GP
It is always best to get your GP or specialist to refer you if at all possible - he is likely to continue to be involved with your healthcare for much longer than us. We recognise that this is not always possible, and we do not believe that it would be ethical to refuse to see you without a referral letter. What we will always do is to write regularly to your GP, usually copying to him/her the Consultation Summary that we give you - unless you specifically request us not to, which you are entitled to do.
  • Prepare
When you do come to see us, there are a few things we must ask.

    • We have to ask that all visitors to the clinic wear no perfume, aftershave or scented deodorant. This is because some of our patients are extremely allergic/sensitive to such things, and exposure could make them acutely ill.
    • Our London clinic is in premises shared with a number of other doctors, so we cannot control what perfumes etc other patients may wear. If this is a problem for you, warn us in advance, please, and we will make appropriate arrangements.
    • On a first visit we ask all patients not to wear make-up, in order that a physical examination can be done.
    • Please bring with you the actual bottles of all medications, nutritional supplements and any other products you may be taking [otherwise it is hard to check the exact dosages and the suitability of products].
  • Confirm
Please fill in and return the confirmation slip, together with the £50 deposit, well before your first appointment. If you have to cancel for any reason, we ask you to do so well before the appointment date, as unused time-slots will eventually add to the cost to all patients. We reserve the right to charge the full rate for appointments cancelled late.
